Staff members and students who may have come into close contact with any individuals testing positive for COVID-19 will contacted by the school or their local health department with instructions regarding masking or any self-quarantine requirements.
The new CDC guidance is as follows with close contacts and positive cases:
If you have been told you are a close contact, you may attend school if you do not have any symptoms however, you are required to wear a mask for 10 days from last day of contact with the individual and monitor for symptoms. If you are still asymptomatic, you should test on day 6. Moreover, if you are experiencing any symptoms, please stay home and get tested sooner. In all cases, consult your primary care provider for further advice.
If you test positive for Covid, you should quarantine for 5 days from the start of symptoms with the first day of symptoms counting as day 0. You may leave quarantine after day 5 but must continue masking when around others for days 6-10.
