When parents become a part of their child’s education, they are saying, “We believe in you, we support you.” That statement empowers a child to go beyond the everyday expectations and seek new opportunities, challenging himself on new levels. Families of LVA have made the conscious choice to enroll their child/children here. One of the key principles incorporated into the charter was parental involvement. Parental involvement means an increase in the quality and quantity of education children receive by: Improving the school – involved parents are more likely to become actively involved in the success of the school and its Programmes. Improved communication – when parents are closer to the Administration and teachers, they are more knowledgeable of the child’s behavioral and educational process. Providing additional resources to the school – making the LVA learning experience the absolute best choice parents could make for their child’s education. Making A Difference – One Parent at a Time LVA expects every parent to play a part in his or her child’s education. Parents, caregivers, or family members of each student are required to volunteer their time, talents, and skills.
