Wellness Program



Lehigh Valley Academy Charter School recognizes that student wellness and proper nutrition are  related to student’s physical well-being, growth, development and readiness to learn. The Board is committed to providing a school environment that promotes student wellness, proper nutrition, nutrition education and promotion, and regular physical activity as part of the total learning experience. In a healthy school environment, students will learn about and participate in positive dietary and lifestyle practices that can improve student achievement.


The purpose of the Wellness Committee is to is participate in the development, implementation, review and update the wellness policy and set goals to achieve these objectives.

The committee is made up of several stakeholders including Students, School Nutrition Program staff, PE Teacher, School Health Staff, School Board and School Administrators. The committee dates will be announced once the school reopens:
