Lehigh Valley Academy Regional Charter School’s Board of Trustees is seeking an exceptional leader with a passion for public education and a commitment to excellence.

 

Lehigh Valley Academy (LVA), opened in 2002, is a public charter school serving 887 students in grades K-12 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Our school delivers instruction through the International Baccalaureate (IB) Curriculum and is one of just a few schools in the United States that has met the stringent requirements for all three IB programmes. LVA is stakeholder-centered and integrates parental involvement into school processes to leverage student success. Our professional staff operates in a collaborative, performance-based culture focused on a mission of holistically preparing students for post secondary education. LVA’s commitment to student achievement has been realized in eight successive years of meeting state mandated goals.

 

LVA’s CEO position requires a hands-on administrator who will be visible in both the school and in the greater Lehigh Valley communities. The CEO reports to the Board of Trustees and is responsible for furthering the vision and mission of the school by:

 

·         driving academic excellence

·         developing and executing strategic plans and initiatives

·         ensuring financial viability

·         building business partnerships and community relationships

·         managing the performance and development of faculty and staff

·          positioning the school for continued success

 

Applicants should have significant leadership history and work experience that demonstrate the capabilities of team building, collaboration, inclusiveness, innovation, and capital project management. Experience in the field of education and a thorough understanding of current education law and regulations are required.
