High School
LVA's High School Program spans grades 9 through 12. The Middle Years Programme is applied in grades 9 and 10 and provides preparation for the Diploma Programme (grades 11 & 12) which is a demanding two-year curriculum for highly motivated students, and leads to a qualification that is recognized by leading universities around the world.

The Diploma Programme is comprised of studies of language (English and Spanish or French), Individuals and Societies (economics, geography, history, philosophy, and social/cultural anthropology), Mathematics, the Arts, and Experimental Sciences (biology, chemistry, design technology, and physics).
Three Core Requirements (descriptions provided by IBO):
The Extended Essay is an opportunity for students to engage in independent, in-depth research related to a topic of personal interest.
Theory of Knowledge is a two year course in which students explore ways of knowing and different kinds of knowledge.
Creativity, Action and Service Projects (CAS) are student selected and advisor approved experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom. Students explore learning through activities such as community service projects, sports participation, or an exploration of photography.
